Sogomonian Cathedral in Jerusalem

[translation from French]
The Armenian cathedral is beyond the Protestant cathedral, surrounded by the Armenian Bishop's palace, the seminary and the hospice for the pilgrims. This view represents the interior of the cathedral of the schismatic Armenians. The latter are in the Armenian quarter which extends from the Jaffa Gate to that of Zion and occupies the part of this mountain within the City walls. The Armenians number about 500. Their patriarch resides in Armenia. In the Holy City they have a bishop. The cathedral dedicated to [Apostle] Saint James the Great is beautiful, spacious and clean. The [cathedral shows] the exact place of where the Saint, the first among apostles, was decapitated by Herod, 11 years after the death of Christ.
